This is the superb flyer that we designed for our workshop "CIRCUS"

Welcome to the CIRCUS

Hacemos nuestras propias gafas y dibujos 3D
We make our own 3D pictures and glasses

Unas parecen galaxias, otras corrientes marinas.
Preparing the "marbling" (shapes that look like marble)
We drop oil colours in water to produce beautiful random organic shapes. Some look like galaxies, others like ocean currents.

Usando la imaginación descubrimos criaturas ocultas, principalmente insectos o mamíferos.
Using our imagination we find hidden creatures, mainly insects or mammal

* The circus is the theme we have chosen for our workshop in Granada, for several reasons. Mainly because it´s a place of fun, where the most incredible things happen and imagination is more important that logics. Also because of the fascination it has caused in great artists, from Seurat to Picasso and because in the circus kids are the protagonist.
For the occasion, we designed a number of activities where the boys/girls could experience and create works that, using their imagination, they could achieve unexpected, magical and weird results, according to their words.
With the 3D glasses they were introduced to the hand made visual effects world of "Op Art" and they created tridimensional images out of the bare two dimensions of paper.
Through experimentation and chance, in marbling they learned how to paint without brushes and discovered that the spiral looked like a snail and the snail like a galaxy, in other words, that the shapes in nature, from the tiniest to the biggest, are connected and are part of a whole.
Finding these connections through art and colour is probably the best way and the most spontaneous.
Likewise, the kids learned the english words that define these activities in a natural way.
